LearNing to Serve

Teens involved was yesterdayy!! TI is a WOL program, the purpose of it is to teach teens to serve in the local church. Yesterday was the TI competition, but what it really was, was practice, we sang, did drama, teaching children and played instruments in front of judges, who wrote down comments on how to improve. We take what they wrote and use it to improve, and then we use our talents to serve in our church. I LOVE Teens involved, it is such an awesome opportunity to learn!
 Cam, Matt and i all participated in 9 events each. I had, a viola solo, specialty instrumental, teaching children, drama, large group vocal, instrumental vocal group, quiz blitz, small group vocal, and small group instrumental. :) there were 24 events from our church, and 23 of them are going to regionals!! Regionals is in 5 weeks!! :D
 I woke up at 5 a.m. Saturday,( i went to bed at like 8:30 friday night ;) and we left he house at 6 to go to church, then we rode the church van to the church TI was at, and we got there at like 7:15.a.,m.. quizzing started at 7:30 a.m. there were 5 teams, we had 2 teams, Fair haven had 2 teams,and there was 1 team from Montrose...quiz blitz is SO much fun! Lauren, Matt, Ethan and i were on a team and Brad, Cam, Kayla and Kathey were on a team. Lauren, Matt, Ethan and i placed 2nd 4 times, and 3rd 1 time, we placed 2nd overall. It was really sad the one time when we got beat by the fair haven team..cause they only had 3 quizzers...and we had 4..lol the other fair haven team got 1st...they were REALLLYYYY good! they got like every question right! we were so close in the last round to them, then they all got 10 questions right, and got 20 bonus points!! so yeah... but anyways it was really fun :)
Everything else started at 10 and continued through the day till 3 p.m. everything went really well, especially drama, we didn't forget anything!! :D. the top 4 quiz blitz teams had the final round at 3:30..and Fair haven team 1..of course won..and we got 2nd :) :D it was fun!
then we went home..it was a  GREAT AWESOME day! i can't wait till Regionals! i'll add pictures later :)
