Construction Season!

The Four seasons of Michigan.
1.almost winter 2.winter
3.still winter and 4.road construction.
We are now in a transition between season 3 and 4.

I have only been driving for about 9 months, so i have never fully experienced this 4th season of "construction".
Now, with construction comes Detours.

I took my first detour yesterday. I was alone, and i was totally confident. It took me down a dirt road, up a very steep hill and then after several curves and turns, i arrived at my destination(soccer game) with a very dirty van. I was kinda proud of myself.
After the game (we tied 1-1) i realized i would have to follow the detour BACK....yikes. Let's just say, it didn't go well. There were many many many curves in the road and i couldn't remember if i had come straight or not, so i just followed the curves...after a while i saw another "detour" sign and this made me happy...until it told me to turn left onto a dirt road where it promptly told me "Detour Ends." This would have been fine, except for i wasn't supposed to be on a dirt road and i had NO idea in the world where i was. I drove to the next road and realized this. Thankfully i had my Mom's phone and was able to call her...except for the fact she didn't know where i was either! I will be honest...i was a little upset, i thought i was going to be wandering around on these dirt roads for the rest of my life! I WAS TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY LOST! I finally turned around and went back to the previous road, i recognized the name of it, so i called my mom back and she told me how to get to the main road. I was so.relieved. God definitely kept me safe, it could have been dark and stormy, but it was still light out, which was a big huge blessing, it woulda been 10x worse in the dark! :) Let's just say i'll be going a different way to my soccer games from now on!

Speaking of soccer...it's going pretty good. We won our first game against CHASE. We beat them 5-0, i made the first goal, it was pretty exciting :) We played CHAP last night and tied them 1-1. It was a tough game. They have a super amazing goalie. It was freezing cold, windy and rainy out, that didn't help. We'll get 'em next time :)


Alanna's coming home on Friday(Cam has to stay at school) and then on Saturday is my Grandparents 50th anniversary party. Alot of family is going to be there, i'm excited :D
