ilove: Soccer Tournament!

Soccer. It rocks. We had a soccer tournament this weekend. It was hot.hot.hot. We placed 2nd! yeahhh Patriots. I'm pretty proud of my team, we had so many things going against us, but we played our hearts out. Two of our starting defense were unable to play in the tournament. Nicole had surgery and Marissa broke her arm :(we missed them both, dearly) Because of our injured defense we had to have people that weren't normally defense, play defense. They were amazing.

Game #1Friday morning: Summit vs. CCHA(us) We lost this game to summit 2-1. It was the first time we had played this team in several years, so it was tough.
Game #2 Friday afternoon: CHAP2 vs. CCHA We won this game 2-0...we played this game without a couple of our starters because of injuries from game#1!
Game #3 Saturday morning. Hudsonville vs. CCHA This was definitely our best game of the tournament. We tied them 3-3 and then beat them in a shoot out. Paige scored our first goal within like 30 seconds, it was amazing. I scored the 2nd goal and Grace pounded in the 3rd a couple minutes before the game ended. Paige was our awesome goalie for the shootout and Emily and Paige both scored in the shootout and we WON! 5-4.
Game #4 Saturday Afternoon Summit vs. CCHA (again) We lost this game and i don't even know what the score was. We had played such a hard fought game in the morning against Hudsonville that we were just dead. It was 87 degrees out and we only had 2 subs. We tried our best but the other team had more energy than us, plus they had lots of subs. we were just plain tuckered out.
Needless to say..it was an AWESOME weekend. My team is AWESOME. and we placed 2nd!!! Yeah Patriots!
