It really doesn't seem that long ago. I was 7. September 10,2001 i had my first viola lesson. September 11, 2001 our world was changed forever. I remember doing school and then somehow we found out about the twin towers and we turned the tv on. I guess i didn't really understand what was happening. My mom and sister were in tears but i didn't know why...I didn't understand how scary and awful it was until later. Sometimes i wish i could remember this day and the days to follow more, sometimes i wish i had understood what was happening so that i could tell my kids someday...but other times I'm thankful i don't have the full memory of that awful day.
We talked about it in Sunday school this morning, and about how yes, it was one of the most tragic days in American history, almost 3,000 people died. But think, how many people have come to Christ through this? God takes awful things and uses them for good.
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."-Romans 8:28 NASB
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:28-29
