A Lovely June Weekend

Saturday Morning I woke up at 6:15....starving to death, so i got up, and went downstairs. I ate something and then sat on the coffee table and watched the recording of Matt and my violin/viola recital from last year. My dad was trying to clear off discs so we could videotape Cam's recital. So anyways, Matt was sleeping on the couch because his room was "too hot" The noise woke him up and as soon as he rolled over i said "Happy Birthday MATT!" YAY! I was the first one to wish him a Happy Birthday, i was proud of myself. :]
By 8:30 we had the van packed and we were on our way to Drivers ed/and church(where cam's open house was) I was dropped off and Drivers ed and everyone else went on to church to prepare. This was my first time driving, ever. Last week i put the car in neutral and rolled it about 20 ft. in the driveway..but i never touched the gas pedal..so that technically wasn't driving!
I drove 2nd. Our teacher, Mr. Rich, is really nice. The girl that drove before me said she had driven before...it didn't show. She kind of really scared me...and really really scared our teacher! After the most scary hour of my life, i climbed into the drivers seat. Adjusted my mirrors, and seat, and then had to do the Basic skills test in the parking lot. I had to parellel park! But, the driving instructor talked me through it and i didn't even knock over a cone! :]. After that i pulled out onto the main road and then went down some dirt roads and such for the rest of the hour. I made it to a whopping 50 mph! After that my dad picked me up and we went back to the church. I was a little nervous about driving, but it went well. :]

By the time i got to the church, all the tables and decorations were set up, and there wasn't much to do! We tried, in vain, to find the holes for the volleyball net's poles. We crawled around on our hands and knees, and shoved screw drivers into the ground... couldn't find the holes! So, Greg brought over his metal detector..but..it was broken, so somehow my Dad and Greg found the holes! They set up the volleyball net..and then we sat around some more...then Andi and Marissa came! Then the girls went down and made enchiladas and did a ton of stuff in the kitchen until 3,when we went and watched Cam's senior recital! :]

Recital went really well, it was awesome. After the recital was the Open house! :] It was a ton of fun! We had a mexican food theme...but i didn't really eat anything...haha i was to excited about Soccer and Volleyball! I played volleyball for about an hour or so...and then i went and played soccer!!! It was awesome!..duh! After soccer, soccer, and more soccer. At about 9 those that were left played volleyball. Pretty much everyone had left by 10. So it was Cam, Matt, Josh, Nick and I against David, Derek, Stacy, Wendy, and Caleb...hahahaha we totally creamed them. I was the server, Cam, Matt and Josh were spikers, and Nick was the one who got all the balls that no one else could reach! haha yeah...it was awesome. We played till it was way past pitch black, and then we went and cleaned....Mom, Dad, Cam and I were at the church till midnight. I didn't get to bed till 1! We were all really exhausted Sunday.

So yeah, the open house was great fun. Everything went well...and we have tons of food left! :] Tacos!!!!!♥

Monday was drivers ed, i had to drive at 6 a.m.! Yeah...i was so tired. i'm glad i didn't fall asleep during class! I got to drive to my house, i pulled into the driveway and honked...but apparently they didn't hear me!  Today i got to drive on the expressway, which was fine, until right after i got on it started pouring. He had me get off after a little while and i drove back roads back to the school. Friday i'm done with driving! Only 2 more days! And we get to go to Tacobell on Friday! But, Friday will be scary i think, we have to do "Sweat alley" Apperantly we have to go down a bunch of one way streets and cross a ton of lanes of traffic, and it's pretty intense... Bring it!
