Is that love?
This world's view of love is so messed up. It's all about being wrapped up in emotions. It seems like every other song on the radio is about love gone wrong. Relationships never seem to last...It makes me wonder...What is true love?
True love is sacrificial.
True love will never fail.
"Sacrificing to meet the needs of others."
True love doesn't say "What can I get out of this?"
True love says "What can I give?"
Loving others, isn't an option. It is commanded.
"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"
Matthew 5:44
Do you love someone because their lovable?
Do you love them because they're cute and you get butterflies in your stomach every time you see them?
Is your love more than skin deep?
Are you willing to forgive someone you love?
God forgives us when we constantly mess up
God loves us, even though we are unlovable.
God loves us when our hearts are black with sin.
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
1 John 3:16
Are you willing to sacrifice for those you "love"?
Are you willing to love those who aren't so loveable?
These are all questions that i'm asking myself. What are your thoughts on love?

ReplyDeleteAsking myself allot of the same questions... focusing more on loving my bros and seeing where that takes me. Thinking about chocolate and flowers will hurt for awhile. actually.... not chocolate or flowers like most people think of them... any kind of flower, any kind of chocolate. Snickers to Toblerone, daisies to sunflowers and everything in between. sorry it's been so long, hope you remember me
